The pressed cake contains larger, darker leaves with fewer silver buds compared to higher grades. The leaves show brown and dark green colors with visible stems throughout the compression. Breaking the cake releases strong jujube sweetness mixed with honey and floral scents.

Steeping produces a deep golden liquor with amber-orange hues. The first infusion delivers thick, full body with immediate jujube sweetness coating the palate. Honey notes emerge in the mid-palate alongside sweet date character. The texture feels substantial and mouth-coating from the start. Later steeps maintain the sweet date core while developing more mellow, rounded earth notes. The brew remains smooth and sweet across five to six infusions without astringency.

From Zhenghe County in Fujian Province, produced in 2019 as shou mei grade white. Appeals to white drinkers who prefer fuller body and darker, sweeter profiles over lighter, more vegetal whites.
