Thick, velvety texture coats your mouth. Sweet almond and earthy wood with umami depth. A comforting cup for late afternoon or evening.
The compressed mushroom-shaped tuocha shows very dark brown, almost black leaves tightly packed. The surface has a slight sheen from years of aging since 1995. Breaking the compression releases roasted almond aroma mixed with woody, earthy notes. The leaves are small and thoroughly fermented, showing nearly three decades of post-production aging.
The liquor steeps to a deep reddish-brown, opaque and thick. The first taste brings smooth almond sweetness without any harsh or musty notes despite the age. Rich, earthy character dominates the mid-palate. Woody undertones add depth and complexity. Strong umami quality appears throughout, giving a savory dimension. The body is very thick and coating with a velvety texture. Multiple infusions maintain the almond-earth-umami profile with remarkable consistency.
Produced in Dali City, Yunnan Province in 1995 by Xiaguan factory. Nearly thirty years of aging has developed deep complexity while maintaining clean flavors. Good for experienced ripened pu-erh drinkers seeking aged examples with pronounced umami character and substantial body.
